Export your SPOTIO data before you cancel
Export your data first. When a SPOTIO account is cancelled, the data in it is deleted. Exporting is the account holder's responsibility, and it has to happen before the account closes. Export everything you need to keep before you send cancellation notice. See: How to Export Data from SPOTIO.
Give notice at least 30 calendar days before your renewal date. This applies whatever your invoicing cadence — monthly, quarterly and annual subscriptions all use the same 30-day notice period, counted against your renewal date rather than your invoice date. Notice received inside the 30 days does not stop the upcoming renewal.
Not sure of your renewal date? Ask before you do anything else-- your CSM, or support@spotio.com if you don't have a named CSM. We will confirm it in writing.
How to cancel your SPOTIO subscription
To cancel a SPOTIO subscription, an account admin must send written notice at least 30 calendar days before the renewal date.-
Export everything you need to keep.
-
Have an account admin send written notice. Cancellation must be requested in writing by an admin on the account.
-
Send it to your CSM or our Support Team (support@spotio.com. Written notice to any SPOTIO contact is valid, but these three are logged and acknowledged so you have a record of the date.
-
Include your company name so we can match the request to your account.
You will receive an acknowledgement. If you do not, follow up — an unacknowledged email is not a record.
Cancelling SPOTIO in the middle of your subscription
Standard SPOTIO agreements do not permit cancellation partway through a term. If something has changed and you need to cancel mid-term, contact your CSM or success@spotio.com. We will look at your situation with you rather than pointing at the contract.
Refunds
SPOTIO's standard agreement does not provide refunds for subscription time or licenses once payment has been made. Your own SPOTIO agreement governs — if you are not certain what yours says, ask your CSM or our Support Team (support@spotio.com) and we will look at it with you.
What happens to your account after you cancel SPOTIO
Your SPOTIO account stays active through the end of your current term. On the renewal date, the subscription ends, user access is removed, and the account's data is deleted. Export anything you need before that date, because once the account closes the data is deleted and we cannot promise it can be retrieved.
FAQ
Who can submit a cancellation?
An account admin on the account or the agreement signer. Requests from users without admin rights cannot be processed as notice.
Does the 30 days mean business days?
No. 30 calendar days.
I cancelled and was still invoiced.
If notice was received inside the 30-day window, the upcoming renewal still bills. Contact your CSM or our Support Team (support@spotio.com) with the date you sent notice and we will check it.
Can I get my data back after cancellation?
Export before you cancel. Once the account closes the data is deleted and we cannot promise it can be retrieved.
I don't know who my CSM is.
Email support@spotio.com. Not every SPOTIO account has a named CSM, and you do not need one to cancel.
Can I decrease some SPOTIO seats but keep the account?
Yes. Reducing your seat count is a change at renewal, not a cancellation. See: Can I pause or reduce my SPOTIO subscription?
