# Custom Role Creator
## Account Admins can now create custom roles with exactly the permissions each job needs. Existing roles carry over unchanged — no action required.

### **What's new**
Account Admins can now create custom roles with exactly the permissions each job needs, instead of fitting everyone into Sales Rep, Manager, or Account Admin.
Role permissions have also moved. They now live in a new top-level Permissions tab in Settings, rather than under General → Permissions & Security. Account-level security settings stay where they are.
**Your existing roles are unchanged.** When Custom Role Creator is enabled on your account, your existing roles are carried over with exactly the permissions and settings they already had. Nothing changes for any user until an admin changes it.
**What you can do now**
- **Create up to 10 custom roles**, on top of the three system roles — 13 in total
- **Clone** any existing role and adjust it, rather than building from scratch
- Set record and activity access separately **per record type**
- Give a role **only the Settings pages it needs** — Billing on its own, for example
- Control **DASH, Next Best Action, and MCP access** per role
- Grant **team and territory management scoped to a region**, without account-wide access
- **Bulk-move users** onto a new role in one operation
Role creation stays exclusive to Account Admins. It cannot be granted to any other role.
