Setting Up Your Google Calendar

 

Connecting your Google Calendar account is very simple and only needs to be done by the Account Administrator one time. In order to connect the google calendar you will need a google account (Gmail is the most common way to have a google account).  If your company uses Google Apps for its emails, then you are all set.  If you don’t have a google account already, you can create one by clicking here.

**Spotio recommends that you connect a business google account versus a personal google account as part of this integration.**

 No time for a video? Here are the steps:

  1. Log into the web app (app.spotio.com).
  2. On the left side you will see Settings, click that to open up the settings page.
  3. When the settings page opens you will see “Integrations” at the bottom and then click the '+' next to Integrations to see the drop down.
  4. From the Integrations drop down select “Google Calendar.”
  5. Once you are on the Google Calendar integration account page, you will need to click on “Connect” to get started.
  6. Now you will be asked to log into your google account, so please put in your email address & click next.
  7. Now you will be asked for your password to the google account, type that in and click next.
  8. Google will need you to grant SPOTIO access to a few things so please click the blue allow button to grant access to google drive.
  9. That's it! You should now be redirected to SPOTIO and should see that your account is now connected.
 
 
Now that you've got your Google Calendar integrated with Spotio you will be able to save time by not having to make that extra phone call to make sure the time is available when you can see right within the app. For example, need to make an appointment with your closer? Set the appointment with him directly within the Spotio app and conform with the potential customer that that time is ok without having to call in and hope the time works. Now you can save more device battery and have more time to knock doors and find more potential customers!!!
 
What does the calendar look like once you have connected it?
You are connecting the account for your entire team so once you have connected the calendar as part of the integration you will see the appointments start to sync as new sub calendars on the main calendar you connected.  Each user in SPOTIO will have a sub-calendar and the sub-calendar will be created when they create their first appointment after the integration is complete.
