Occasionally, after importing records into SPOTIO, you may find that you no longer want that information. For these situations, we have an easy way for you to undo the import, which will delete all the records you imported.

To delete an import file:

  1. As an Admin, login to the web app.
  2. Click on the Settings gear in the bottom left corner of your screen.
  3. Click on the Import Data tab.
  4. Scroll down to Import History for your list of imports.
  5. Click Delete on the line item of the import you want to delete.
  6. Type DELETE to confirm deletion.

Caution

If you delete an import, you will be deleting ALL information for those records. If you have updated any of the records that you uploaded, deleting the import will remove all the records and the historical information associated with that record(s). If you are only wanting to delete certain records but not the whole list, you will want to delete the records outside of the Import tab whether that be in bulk or one at a time. To learn more about deleting records, check out the How to Delete A Record knowledge base article.

Pro Tip: Before deleting a file, you can download the file as a precaution. To download the file, click on the download button to the left of the file name.
