# 🔗 Inherited Fields

**Releases:**

- **Mobile 2.34.2** (January 13th, 2025)
- **Backend 2.66.9** (January 13th, 2025)
- **Web 2.58** (January 13th, 2025)

**Overview:**
SPOTIO now allows **child objects to inherit field values from parent objects**, reducing the need for duplicate data entry and making important details more accessible.

**Key Enhancements:**

- Admins can configure **which fields in child objects** should automatically **inherit values** from their parent objects.
- Example: A **Contact** can now automatically display the **Account Name** from its parent account without requiring manual entry or extra navigation.
- This setup is configurable via the **web setup page**, where admins can define which fields should pull data from parent records.

✅ **Benefit:** Saves time and ensures key details are always available within related records, **reducing manual entry and improving data consistency**.
