Overview:

SPOTIO now supports the ability to import territories directly through the web admin panel—eliminating the need for error-prone FTP uploads. This new feature brings the same intuitive experience used for importing records to territory creation and updates, streamlining the process and putting control directly in the hands of admins.

Key Enhancements:

• A new option in the Import Wizard lets users select between importing Records or Territories.

• When importing territories, users can drag and drop a KML file directly into the tool.

• The system validates the file based on clear criteria:

  • Each territory must have a unique "Name" attribute (max 64 characters).

  • Files can include up to 200 territories and 70,000 polygon points.

• If errors are detected, users are shown a helpful Error Log File that can be downloaded and used to make corrections.

• Successfully imported territories appear in the Map view on both web and mobile, alongside existing territories created in-app.

✅ Benefit: Admins can now quickly upload and manage large sets of territories without relying on external tools or having to reach out to support. The streamlined, self-service process reduces errors, saves time, and empowers users to manage their territory strategy more effectively.
