Overview: SPOTIO now supports importing users directly through the web admin panel, bringing much-needed relief to admins managing large teams. Previously, adding users had to be done manually, one by one or through complex external systems. With this new update, importing users becomes a seamless, self-service experience that mirrors SPOTIO’s existing record and territory imports.

Key Enhancements:

• A new Import Users option has been added to the import wizard.

• Admins can download a user import template with predefined column headers:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Email

  • Phone

  • Role (Sales, Manager, Admin)

  • Teams (one or more teams)

  • Territory Access (Global or Limited)

  • Territories (one or more)

  • External System ID (optional)

• Users simply drag and drop their completed .csv file into the wizard.

• The system guides them through column matching, error detection, and a final review before import.

• Once imported:

  • New users are added to the account with the correct roles, teams, and territories.

  • They receive a text and email invite to log in.

  • The import shows up in Import History with time/date and results.

  • Licensing adjusts automatically—if more seats are added than paid for, the billing is updated accordingly.

✅ Benefit: Admins can now onboard entire teams in minutes instead of hours. This update reduces manual work, eliminates the need for external tools or API connections, and ensures that new users are set up accurately with all their assignments from day one.
