Android devices don’t have a built-in screen recorder so you will need to download an app to help you. There are a lot of apps to choose from, but Lane and Jasmine, our resident Android users, like DU Recorder best. So, we’ll talk about how to record your screen using DU Recorder.
Step 1: Go into the Google Play Store and download the free DU Recorder once it is loaded, install it.
Step 2: Once installed, you’ll get a tiny orange circle with a camera sitting on the side of your device. Click on that, then click on the settings icon (The orange camera with the wrench inside a white circle) to access the recorder settings
Step 3: Be sure to turn off the “Watermark” setting.
Step 4: To start recording, click on the white camera inside the orange circle, and then click the red bullseye “Start” icon. This will start a 3-second countdown that shows up in orange on your screen. At the end of the countdown, the recording will have started.
Step 5: To stop recording your screen, click on the orange circle that will be visible on the side of your screen. That will pull up another cluster menu that shows you how many seconds have been recorded, along with a red double-line “Pause” icon, and a red square “Stop” icon. Click the red square.
