SPOTIO offers a convenient “Find Me” feature that allows you to quickly recenter the map around your current location, ensuring you always have an up-to-date view of where you are in relation to your surroundings.
This feature works as long as you’ve enabled Location Services on your mobile device or browser and granted SPOTIO the necessary permissions to access your location.
By using the “Find Me” feature in SPOTIO, you can quickly gain a clear sense of your current location and proximity whether you're on the mobile or web app.
Using the "Find Me" Feature
For SPOTIO Mobile App:
Launch the SPOTIO mobile app and navigate to the map view to open the Map View. Look for the Map Arrow Icon located at the top-right of the map, positioned between the Layers Icon and Lasso Icon. Tap the Map Arrow Icon to find your location on the map.
Once you tap the Map Arrow Icon, the map will automatically recenter around your current location. You’ll see a blue dot representing your GPS location. A lighter blue circle will appear around the blue dot, indicating the approximate radius of your location.
For SPOTIO Web App:
Go to the Map View within the SPOTIO web app to open the map. You can find the Target Icon, which looks like a bullseye and is situated just below the drawing map icon on the left side of the map.
To Recenter Your Location, click on the Target Icon to instantly recenter the map to your current location’s vicinity, allowing you to see nearby addresses and areas of interest in relation to where you're at.
FAQ
Why can’t I see my location on the map?
Ensure that your device’s Location Services are turned on, and that you've granted SPOTIO permission to access your location. If you’re using a browser, check the location permissions in your browser settings.
Does the “Find Me” feature work offline?
The feature requires an active GPS signal and internet connection to recenter your location on the map. If you’re offline or have no signal, the feature will not work properly.
How accurate is the location shown on the map?
The accuracy of your location is determined by your device’s GPS and signal strength. Typically, the blue dot should be accurate within a few meters, but this may vary depending on your surroundings (e.g., urban vs. rural areas).
