Chat on the Mobile
To chat on the mobile app:
- Select the Comms button on the bottom control panel.
- Hit Chats.
- Choose how you want to chat.
- Company broadcast - to chat with all active users on your SPOTIO account.
- Direct message - to chat with a particular user on your account.
You can click on Company Broadcast to open and begin a chat. The Direct Message option will be the text bubble in the top right of the screen.
Whatever option you choose, hit the arrow icon to send your message.
Chat on the Web
To chat on the web app:
- Select the Comms button on the left gray sidebar.
- Hit Chats.
- Choose how you want to chat.
- Company broadcast - to chat with all active users on your SPOTIO account.
- Territories - to chat with those assigned to a particular territory.
- Direct message - to chat with a particular user on your account.
To chat with Territories or send a Direct Message, you can click the plus icon next to each. You can click on Company Broadcast to open and begin a chat.
Whichever route you go, be sure to hit the keyboard's Enter/Return button to send.
Note: If you are on an older SPOTIO plan, you will have a Chat button instead of a Comms button. You can proceed the same.
Resuming a chat
To continue a chat, you can simply click on the previous recipient, whether it be a rep's name or territory. You would then continue the conversation or start a new one. Remember to hit the arrow icon on the mobile or the Enter/Return button on the web to send.
FAQs
Can you send photos through chat?
Yes, you can send photos through in-app chat. On the web, select the picture icon to the right of the text box. On the mobile, you can click the camera icon to the left of the text box and either Take Photo or Choose from Library.
Are you able to delete or edit messages?
No, you are unable to delete or edit any sent messages.
