How to create a new record
If you are out working in the field, one of the most important things for you to know and understand is how to create a new new record.
- Click on the roof of the house or building.
- Select the most appropriate Visit Result that reflects the outcome of your visit.
- Click on the ADD VISIT DETAILS button to add contact information, visit notes, etc.
- Enter your visit notes.
- Use Attach to upload any photos or documents you would like to add to the record.
- Use the Follow-up toggle to schedule an appointment or other type of activity.
- Update the Pipeline Stage if the record's stage should be changed.
- Select SHOW ALL FIELDS to expand the record's contact information to update fields such Name, Phone, Email, and other custom fields.
- Click on the LOG VISIT button to simultaneously create the new record and log your visit.
How to update an existing record
A follow up strategy is key to success in field sales. Revisiting and updating existing records ensures that all visits, activities, files, notes, etc. are successfully logged in the record's history. You can also review record details when you open an existing record.
- Click on the existing pin on your Map.
- In the pop-up, ensure that you see the record information in the grey rectangle below the address to prevent creating a duplicate record.
- Select your Visit result and then click on the LOG VISIT button if you would like to log a quick visit. Alternatively, you could click on the ADD VISIT DETAILS button if you would like to include a note or file, update record details, change the stage or owner, or schedule a follow up activity while logging your visit.
- If you would like to open the record without logging a visit, then simply click on the record information in the grey rectangle to view the record's activities and details, or to edit the record.
