Lead Link page in SPOTIO web app
With the SPOTIO Lead Link feature you can create a Web Link and an App Link. Both of them help mobile users connect seamlessly to other tools they use throughout their day. A web link creates a connection to a website/URL from within the SPOTIO mobile app, and an App Link creates a connection to a native iOS/Android app from within the SPOTIO mobile app.
How to Create a Lead Link
Admins are able to create Lead Links and only on the web app. To create a lead link:
- Click on Settings.
- Tap Links.
- Click on Create New.
- Give your Link a title and choose whether it will be a web or an app link.
- You will need to put in a url for both the web and app links. App links will need a deeplink url.
- You can insert variables, like latitude and longitude, that will take you to the exact spot within a website that you need to go. The Project Sunroof Link is a web link that takes the mobile user directly to the Google Project Sunroof website as an example.
- Once finished, click Create.
Be sure to check the box Make it available for the Mobile Links to have it available in the mobile app. Once a Lead Link is enabled in the web app and this box checked, the lead link will appear within the LINKS button in the Record Details page for the mobile user.
GET Request
Lead Links allows GET Header Requests for session IDs and to improve ease of transition to other apps for busy Sales Reps in the field. With GET Header Requests, admins can setup Key Values that are sent with an HTTP request when the mobile user is linking thru to the destination site.
Key and value can be entered to pass more sensitive information into the linked web application.
An example of this for Key would be the Auth Token for the web URL to give the user access and then the User ID to pass the users identification info to the application. With this sensitive info being passed safely to the linked URL, it prevents the user from having to enter the data. This improves sales rep productivity by improving overall ease of use.
It is specific to the customer/users system to determine what the keys and values will be.
Additional Links
These links provide additional information on linking content between apps.
In addition to the above generic application linking info, we’ve attached a couple sets of sample instructions from other apps that our customers commonly link to:
